Who is Marguerite?

Maggie and Aunt Cara
Marguerite Reed Irish Dancer

According to family lore, Marguerite’s musical talents were first noted by her Aunt Cara. At just four years old, Maggie whipped out a triple-platinum-scoring rendition of Celine Dion’s “My Heart Will Go On” from Titanic, totally schooled her Aunt Cara, and beat the PlayStation edition of the American Idol video game.

At seven years old, Maggie began a competitive Irish Dancing career and would go on to compete as a soloist at the Regional, National, and World Championship levels. She fell back in love with music in the fifth grade, joining her school’s band program and becoming an award-winning multi-instrumentalist. She spent five cumulative years as a band kid, and finally found her way back to theatre after a one-night-only performance as the Grinch at a local assisted living facility.

Theatre became Maggie’s main pursuit in high school, and among other honors and accolades, she was fortunate enough to represent the state of Illinois at the 2019 National High School Musical Theatre Awards, The Jimmy Awards. Now, she's on the path to graduating with a BFA in Musical Theatre from Point Park University’s Conservatory of Performing Arts.

Off-stage, Marguerite is the proud mother of three beautiful ‘children’, Moose and Draco, pomskies, and Magpie, calico cat. When she isn’t performing, Maggie can most likely be found curating vintage items and crafting jewelry and art pieces for her small business, Maggie’s Funky Finds.

Distinctiveness  and innovation are Marguerite’s main goals in all of her pursuits, artistic and personal. She takes pride in her individuality – she’s bold, inventive, and she marches to the beat of her own drum. Marguerite’s passionate determination is consistently fueled by her desire to find the joy in all aspects of life, and she is a firm believer in never taking herself too seriously because life is too short, and she doesn’t like wasting time. Thanks for stopping by!

Peace, Love, Blessings.
